Great backpackers hostel near the train station and restaurants/shops. Hostel had a good atmosphere and all amenities are there. Would dev. stay here again.

Amanda and Kevin were extremely helpful!

Amanda and Kevin were extremely helpful!! So nice to have such good advice. Good stay in the hostel, great to have laundry facilities. Excellent Taroko Gorge recommendations. Nice lounge space. I'd definitely recommend.

Front desk guy was EXTREMELY HELPFUL explaining Hualien City...

Front desk guy was EXTREMELY HELPFUL explaining Hualien City, Taroko and food options without asking. 5 stars! Hostel itself all good, clean, good condition. Allowed to store bicycle in inner yard, which I appreciated.

Spacious room, manager was very kind

The bathroom was inside the room and toilet, shower and sink was all together. So if the room is booked you might have to wait to or walk two stories down

Staff made it great.

The staff was very nice. They were helpful even outside the hostel, answering questions via WeChat. They made things very easy, even though I don't speak the language. I would stay at this hostel just because of the staff.

I must have gone during at time that it was low season or the city must not be very popular, because there weren't a lot of other people there. One reason I like hostels is so I can meet people, but I only met people in my room.

Gem in hualien

The staff at this hostel is so friendly! They really tried their best to help me and gave useful advice. The new staff member was also very welcoming and professional. The bathroom is clean and the shower is one of the best ones I've had in taiwan. The bed has curtains around it, which made me feel like I had a lot of privacy. There is a nice atmosphere in the hostel.

The person below me moved a lot, and as the bed was from metal, I could feel this in the top bunk.

Awesome place for meeting travelers.

Lots of discount tickets with the front desk, and they're actually good discounts! I was also able to meet a lot of people.

Make sure to book multiple days in advance if you plan to stay longer. I wanted to stay one more night but they ran out of space at the cheaper rate so I had to switch hostels.

Totally was worth of my money.

Totally was worth of my money. Amanda, the owner, was really friendly and has been helpful to me. The room was clean with a bathroom inside, and washing machine is also available. The location is 5-8 mins walk from the station.

Can make improvement with the bed.

Location is great!

Location is great! Walking distance from the train station and right next to Zhongshan Road, where there are many shops and restaurants. Amanda,the host, was the best host i had! She contacted me the day before to know when we will arrive, and when we checked in She waited for us and explained to us everything we needed and wantedto know! Recommended Places to eat, Places to see in Hualien, trails and map of Taroko National park and even helped us find a bus to our next destination! Likea personal guide for a trip to Hualien:) Also the dorm was clean and comfortable.

The door from the room to the porch could not be closed so there was some light and moise from outside.

the staff - Amanda is amazingly lovely and helpful. She gave us good information to see the town around. the room is big and clean. hostel is near train station, abt 7mins walking

there is no lift and our room is the 4th floor with big suitcase :D
